VIG Re appoints Swiss Re’s Milan Padych as CIO

VIG Re, the reinsurance arm of Vienna Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Milan Padych as Chief Information Officer (CIO).

VIG Re logoPadych joins VIG Re from Swiss Re, where he served as Head of Information Technology, overseeing the development and operations of a fully digital, in-house-built insurance backend SaaS platform, ensuring it scales resiliently within public cloud ecosystems.

He previously served as Group Head of Development & Operations at Erste Group, and earlier held senior positions at Deutsche Telekom Cloud Services, AT&T, and Telstra.

VIG Re stated, “With Milan on board, we are embarking on a new chapter to align our technology capabilities with our strategic business goals.

“He will be crucial in bridging the gap between business and IT and fostering a high-performing, future-ready IT team. Welcome and we look forward to the innovative advancements Milan will lead!”
