Augmented, a tech-powered managing general agent (MGA) launched in July 2025, has announced the appointment of Luke Overall as Head of Underwriting.

He will also leverage his over 15 years of experience across both MGA and carrier environments to shape the MGA’s technology-enhanced underwriting strategy, as well as support the development of the digital infrastructure, which will allow brokers to establish their own smart-follow panels.
Daniel Prince, CEO of Augmented, said: “Luke brings an exceptional blend of technical underwriting expertise, multi-class experience, and deep market understanding. His ability to navigate both broker and carrier dynamics makes him uniquely positioned to lead our underwriting strategy.
“As Augmented scales across new lines and expands its digital infrastructure, Luke’s leadership will be instrumental in shaping high-performing portfolios and delivering value to our clients and partners.”
Throughout his career, the executive has held senior underwriting roles at Atrium, Beazley, and CFC.
His multi-class expertise spans Property, Terrorism, Cyber, and Liability, with a consistent focus on binder-driven portfolios and strategic underwriting partnerships.
Overall commented: “Underwriter’s play a pivotal role alongside our AI and technology capabilities. My focus is helping brokers and carriers connect more effectively, uncover operational pinch points, and build scalable, data-driven programs that deliver measurable results. I’m excited to be part of a team that’s evolving how underwriting works in the London market, and to help drive Augmented’s next phase of growth.”
Augmented plans to write its first risk in the fourth quarter of 2025, starting with Property and Terrorism lines, with further classes of business to follow in 2026.
The MGA will focus on enhanced underwriting – combining data, technology, and Lloyd’s follow capacity to offer scalable, digitally enabled solutions for brokers working in the London Market.
