Hamilton Global Specialty, an underwriting platform of Bermuda-domiciled Hamilton Insurance Group, has promoted Sinead Cormican to Active Underwriter of Syndicate 4000, reporting to Miles Osorio, who will continue in his role as Chief Underwriting Officer, Hamilton Global Specialty.
At the same time, Sukh Chana and Mark Johnson have been named joint Deputy Active Underwriters. Chana continues as Head of Financial Institutions and Johnson maintains his role as Head of Property D&F. The pair will report to Cormican, with all appointments effective April 1st, 2025, subject to regulatory approval.
Cormican has over two decades of underwriting experience, most recently serving as the Deputy Active Underwriter Hamilton Syndicate 4000 since 2020. Prior to this, she was Head of Property D&F for two years and has spent the last decade at Hamilton.
Osorio has over three decades of industry experience and is one of Hamilton’s first hires. He has served as Active Underwriter for Hamilton Syndicate 4000 since November 2020. Previously, he was Deputy Active Underwriter and Head of Property for Hamilton’s Lloyd’s operations.
Chana has over 20 years of industry experience, and has served as Head of Financial Institutions at Hamilton for over five years, having joined during the company’s 2019 acquisition of Pembroke.
Johnson also has 20 years of insurance industry experience and has served as Head of Property D&F for four years, with a total of 10 years at Hamilton.
Trevor Ormes, the current Deputy Active Underwriter and Head of Professional Lines for Syndicate 4000, will be retiring on April 30th, 2025.
