Global insurer American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has appointed Glen Browne as its new Global Head of Accident & Health (A&H), effective September 3rd, 2025.
He will be based in Zurich, Switzerland and report to Jon Hancock, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), International Commercial Insurance and Global Personal Insurance.
In his new role, Browne will lead AIG’s A&H portfolio across the International and North America businesses.
Most recently, Browne served as the Global Head of A&H at Bermuda-based re/insurer Everest. Prior to that, he spent a decade at Chubb in executive roles, including Deputy Regional President, Asia Pacific, and Division President, Consumer Lines.
Previously in his career, Browne held senior positions in A&H at AIG in Japan and Korea.
Hancock commented on the appointment, “I am pleased to welcome Glen back to AIG. He brings more than 30 years of global experience in A&H and retail distribution, with a strong track record of growing businesses and leading high-performing teams.
“Glen’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening AIG’s prominent position in the A&H market, while driving our global growth strategy, and advancing product and distribution innovation.”
Browne added, “I am thrilled to be rejoining AIG, and I look forward to working with A&H colleagues to drive our growth momentum, deepen client impact, and expand opportunities we can help create alongside our valued distribution partners.”
