Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Group, has announced the appointment of Jiten Voralia as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for Global Reinsurance, effective immediately.
Voralia will be succeeding Chris Downey, who was recently promoted to EVP and Group CUO, and will report to Jill Beggs, EVP and CEO of Reinsurance.
In his new role, Voralia will leverage his over two decades of experience in the global reinsurance industry, to lead the underwriting strategy for Everest’s global reinsurance operations.
His background includes extensive work in underwiring, actuarial science, and portfolio management. The executive has been part of Everest since 2022, having most recently served as Head of North America Treaty Reinsurance, a role he will hold until his successor is appointed.
During this time, Voralia led the profitable growth of the company’s portfolio across the U.S. Bermuda and Canada.
Prior to Everest, he held various casualty treaty underwriting and actuarial leaderships positions with Swiss Re in the US, Australia and New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Before that, he served as an actuary for Benfield in London and Sydney and PwC in London.
