Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer, Everest Group, has appointed Elias Habayeb as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective on or around May 1st, 2026.

In his new role, Habayeb will report to Jim Williamson, Everest’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and will join Everest’s executive leadership team.
Habayeb is an industry veteran with over three decades of experience leading global finance organisations in the insurance and financial services industries.
Most recently, he served as CFO of Corebridge Financial, overseeing all finance and actuarial operations and driving strong earnings growth and capital returns.
In the past, Habayeb has held CFO roles at several divisions of American International Group (AIG), including General Insurance, and Life & Retirement. He was responsible for leading the successful IPO that established Corebridge Financial as an independent company.
Earlier in his career, he served as CFO of International Lease Finance Corporation, an AIG subsidiary, and a partner in Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Group, focusing on financial services and structured products.
