Global insurer Chubb has announced the appointment of Kim Hare as Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of North America Property Claims, effective August 18th, 2025.
Hare will succeed Tim Barziza, who will retire next April after more than three decades in the insurance industry, including 22 years at Chubb. During his tenure, Barziza held various technical and operational claims management roles and played a key role in establishing client outreach and response efforts during major catastrophes.
Kevin Rampe, Executive Vice President, Head of North America Claims, said, “Over the past seven years, Tim has led our Property Claims team at the highest levels, and I want to thank him for his immeasurable impact.”
In her new role, Hare will oversee the executive operating responsibilities of the Property Claims business across North America for both personal and commercial claims, reporting to Rampe.
Hare brings nearly 35 years of insurance industry experience, joining Chubb after more than 16 years at Farmers Insurance, where she most recently served as SVP – Head of Property Claims.
Prior to that, she held roles overseeing Auto Central Zone Claims, the West Zone Region, and the National Med PIP Strategy and Operations.
Hare began her career at GMAC Insurance, spending 15 years there and serving as VP of Claims, Policy Services & Sales.
“With a proven leadership track record, Kim will guide the Property team in delivering best-in-class service while continuing to build a digital-forward claims experience,” said Rampe. “She brings an extensive understanding of property and casualty products, sales and service, and claims management, including large loss claims, and is deeply committed to ensuring we continue delivering a premium claims service.”
