Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh, a Marsh McLennan business, has announced the appointments of Brian Glod as Global Head of Aviation and Space and Tony Ambrose as Global Chairman of Aviation and Space, effective September 1.
Based in New York, Glod will join Marsh’s Global Specialty Executive Committee and report to Andrew George, President of Marsh Specialty. Ambrose will be based in London and will report to Dominic Samengo-Turner, CEO, Marsh Specialty, UK and Glod.
Both executives will be responsible for Marsh’s global aviation and space business. In their new roles, they will lead an international team of insurance professionals with deep expertise in rapidly-evolving aviation and space risks.
Glod, who has over 35 years of experience, joined Marsh in 1996 from Johnson & Higgins. Ambrose joined the company in 2020 and has over three decades of experience working in the global aviation insurance sector.
Patton Kline, considered one of the industry’s foremost experts on aviation and space risks, is to succeed Glod as Regional Aviation and Space Practice Leader, US.
The executive, who has over 21 years of experience, will be based in New York and report to Michael Pellegrini, Marsh Specialty Leader for US and Canada, and Glod.
