French reinsurer SCOR has announced the appointment of Robert MacKenzie as Head of Life and Health (L&H) Canada, succeeding François Bernard, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
MacKenzie is well-prepared for the role, bringing strong technical expertise and deep knowledge of the Canadian L&H market.
He has been with SCOR for seven years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President – Head of Client Strategy, Pricing & Data Analytics.
Before joining SCOR, MacKenzie spent seven years at Manulife Financial, where he held the role of Assistant Vice President & Pricing Officer, Affinity Markets & IGP. He began his career in 2003 as a Senior Associate at broker Marsh.
This appointment follows the recent announcement that SCOR’s L&H Chief Executive Officer, J.C. Brueckner, will retire at the end of the year after nine years of service. Brock Robbins, currently Deputy CEO L&H US and Head of U.S. In-force, will succeed Brueckner.
