AM Best assigns A+ (Superior) ratings with stable outlook to HDI Global UK

07/25/2025 by Linda

AM Best, the credit rating agency, has issued a Financial Strength Rating of A+ (Superior) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “aa-” (Superior) to HDI Global UK Limited, a United Kingdom-based subsidiary of HDI Haftpflichtverband der Deutschen Industrie V.a.G. (HDI V.a.G.), with both ratings accompanied by a stable outlook.

This unit is supported by a very strong balance sheet, solid operating results, a well-established market presence, and a structured approach to risk management, as evaluated by AM Best.

HDI Global UK serves as a strategically important entity within the HDI group. It functions as the group’s primary carrier for delegated authority business in the UK, focusing on segments such as retail, SMEs, liability, motor, and high net worth clients.

Incorporated in 2024 as a UK subsidiary of HDI Global SE, HDI Global UK shares the HDI brand identity, underscoring its close alignment with the parent company. Due to its strategic importance, AM Best expects HDI V.a.G. to provide prompt and adequate support to HDI Global UK if required.
