Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance (KEMI), a provider of workers’ compensation insurance in Kentucky, has completed the deployment of Origami Risk’s multi-tenant core claims solution.
This upgrade has enhanced the efficiency, speed, and accuracy of its claims process, while also improving the overall customer experience.
Through this transition, KEMI has introduced several key improvements to better serve its policyholders and internal teams.
“The enhancements our team has configured in Origami’s claims functionalities mark a pivotal shift in how we serve our policyholders and claimants,” said Jon Stewart, KEMI’s President and CEO.
“Our primary goal has always been to simplify and expedite the claims process. These enhancements allow us to deliver on that promise more effectively than ever before.”
Notable changes include the automation of claim number assignments, streamlining the claim reporting process, and the implementation of auto-adjudication to speed up claims processing, improve accuracy, and reduce wait times.
The integration with external vendors has also been expanded, providing policyholders with a smoother experience and reinforcing KEMI’s collaboration with its service providers. In addition, the automation of manual tasks has boosted operational efficiency and minimised errors.
An updated examiner dashboard, along with real-time feedback mechanisms, has brought greater transparency to the claims process, allowing KEMI’s team to quickly address policyholder concerns.
Following the successful implementation of Origami’s claims solution, KEMI plans to adopt additional features from Origami, including policy administration and billing solutions.
The consolidation of these core functions into a single platform will bring further benefits, such as improved speed, accuracy, efficiency, and enhanced service capabilities.
